Chuck Missler’s teachings have radically changed my life. More than 20 years ago, I was a drywall construction worker listening to audio Bibles on the job-site wishing I could find someone to teach me each chapter of the Bible more in depth as I grew in Christ. Then my father in law introduced me to Chuck’s cassette tape series on the Nephilim and I was hooked! I went on to order all the Firefighters for Christ cassette tapes and then I ordered most of the catalog of updated resources from Koinonia House as I could afford.
Over the following 20 years, God took me into owning several businesses, volunteering and then a staff role with Larry Burkett and Howard Dayton at Crown Financial Ministry, full time vocational ministry at two churches, one as an Executive Pastor growing to over 30,000 in weekly attendance. None of this would have been possible without the teaching I received from Chuck Missler, as well as the rest of the Koinonia House ministry team. Even today I have his entire teaching catalog in my phone in Dropbox files!
My story is one of hundreds of thousands, if not millions around the world who have been impacted by Koinonia House ministry. I strongly believe we owe it to the next generations to continue their legacy into the future.
Welcome to the Legacy Project
Chuck Missler’s life work of teaching the Bible is valuable for the current and future generations. Increased funding today and establishing future provisions through endowments and planned gifts will keep the ministry strong for many generations.
We are enhancing the opportunity to support God’s work through Koinonia House. Our reality with money is that every person is a manager of God’s resources and every manager has the responsibility to determine the giving impact of their possessions on the advancement of the Kingdom of God into the next generation.
Our goal is to give clear and simple ways to accomplish giving to Koinonia House in a no pressure approach. We believe K-house supporters will give with the heart of the Israelites leaders in 1 Chronicles 29:9 as they funded the work of God with King David.
1 Chronicles 29:9
Then the people rejoiced because they had offered so willingly, for they made their offering to the Lord with a whole heart, and King David also rejoiced greatly.
In previous years, we have not emphasized giving to the ministry. Today the ministry is financially healthy so we feel now is the right time to create a strategy for future funding. The Legacy Project will include 3 giving options and here is the plan.
- Current Year Giving: Don’t worry, we are not hiring a high pressure giving firm to send annoying letters to those who have expressed interest in funding the work of the ministry. This is a project by supporters with passion for the teaching of 66 books by 40 different authors that make up an integrated message system, I bet you quoted that Chuck phrase in your head too. As supporters decide they want to participate in the Koinonia House Legacy project we will add you to a special communication list for more information and invite only small group gatherings around the country. If you have a desire for these updates and heart to fund the ministry you can choose to opt into this group.
- Planned Giving: There are many tools and techniques to give non-cash assets to the ministry. Depending on your unique circumstances, you may be able to pass the same resources to your family while moving other resources to a charity of your choice instead of the government in taxes. We are building a network of like-minded financial professionals to help both givers and the ministry advance the work entrusted to Chuck Missler.
- Endowment Fund: As God moves on the heart of those who want to see Chuck’s ministry continue well into the future we will create an ongoing source of income to the ministry in the form of an endowment fund. This will relieve pressure on future annual giving requirements and could eventually provide a measure of economic independence.
All giving activity and work in the Legacy Project of Koinonia House will reflect Paul’s encouragement to the Corinthians in 2 Corinthians 9:6–8.
Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.
Together we will create a lasting Legacy through the work of Chuck Missler.
Join us in this endeavor and through the power of God we will create a lasting legacy beyond all our lifetimes.
