He has taught expositional verse-by-verse studies covering every book of the Bible.
Ron has been involved in full time Christian ministry since 1972. In 1976, at the height of the Jesus Movement in California, Ron accepted a full-time position on the staff of Maranatha! Music in Southern California. As the Director of Concert Evangelism over the next four years, Ron was responsible for the organization and oversight of all the outreach events associated with Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa involving Maranatha! Music. Ron also organized many area-wide events at the Anaheim Convention Centre (13,000 people) and annual festivals at Disneyland (18,000 people) and Knotts Berry Farm (10,000 people).
During Ron's involvement with Maranatha! Music he met Malcolm Wild from England. Ron worked with Malcolm to establish a missionary organization devoted to ministry in Europe. By the early 1980's this ministry had sent many ministry teams to the United Kingdom, Holland, and Germany. This experience stirred up a passion for missions that would create within Ron and his wife, Marcie, a deep love for the people of Europe.
By the mid-1980’s Ron was a fully bi-vocational minister of the Gospel working full-time at a “tent making job” and fully involved in Christian ministry. 1987 was the year of dramatic changes for Ron and his family as they moved from the busy suburbs of Southern California to the quiet Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. For the next four years Ron served as a management consultant with the IBM Corporation where he worked on various aerospace projects for both the US military and NASA in addition to being the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel in Owego, New York.
In 1991, IBM offered Ron an opportunity to relocate to Portsmouth, England to work as a senior manager on an aerospace contract with the British Ministry of Defence. Over the next sixteen years Ron’s professional career blossomed:
- 1991 – 1994: Computer Science Corporation, Portsmouth, England as a Senior Management Consultant with IBM
- 1994 – 2001: Lockheed Martin Corporation, Portsmouth, England as a Subcontract Programme Manager
- 2001 – 2007: BAE Systems, Warton, England as a Senior Management Consultant
At the same time as these professional engagements, Ron carried on in full-time ministry as the pastor of Calvary Chapel Portsmouth, England. From 2007 to 2010 Ron also hosted a weekly live one-hour TV program which aired throughout Europe where he taught verse-by-verse through books of the Bible, followed by a live one-hour call-in “Questions and Answers” program.
In 1992 Ron linked up with his friend Chuck Missler. That relationship would forge a partnership and eventually lead Ron and his family to move to New Zealand in 2012 where they joined the Misslers in ministry. In 2014, Ron was named President and CEO of Koinonia House ministries in both New Zealand and the United States.
When COVID hit, the situation in New Zealand became excessively restrictive and, to a degree, dangerous. After consultation with the K-House Board of Directors, Ron moved the ministry headquarters back to the US. Most of the New Zealand staff agreed to evacuate to the US to find relief. Ron was the last to leave and arrived in Idaho in January 2022.
Koinonia House is a ministry that was started by Chuck Missler over forty years ago. It is known world-wide for its materials that encourage the serious study of the Bible as the inerrant Word of God.
