3. List seven key attributes about Jesus Christ established in the first three verses of Chapter 1.

4. List the seven Old Testament references and their Christological points in Chapter 1.

5. List the contrasts between angels and Christ highlighted in this chapter.

6. Explain the relevance of the Davidic Covenant to this epistle.

7. What is an “experimental predestinarian”? Explain.

Discussion Questions:

(“Where two people agree, one is redundant")

1. When we pray, “Thy Kingdom Come,” what does that refer to and what does it mean?

2. Did Jesus ever ascend to David’s throne?  If so, when? If not, why?

3. What is the relevance of the “finiteness” of our reality, as it is currently perceived by science?

Candidate Research Projects:
(For the truly dedicated)

1. How do we know our universe is finite:
     a) in the macrocosm
     b) in the microcosm

Preparation for the Next Session:

Study carefully:

Study Chapter 2. The Writer anticipates two objections:
1.    If Christ is above the angels, yet He became a man, which is lower than the angels.
       -    How can He still be higher than the angels, while in the form of a man?
2.    Problem two is that Christ died.
       -    How can that make Him better than the immortal angels?
